"Teegs"

Known simply as "The White Tiger" in Brazil, this 70-year-old legend is one of the most respected and well-liked members of the club. Although he didn't discover Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu until later in life, he has proven that it's never too late to pursue excellence. Long before stepping onto the mats, he built his athletic foundation through powerlifting and has carried that same determination into every stage of his BJJ journey.

His last major campaign on the international stage came at the 2017 IBJJF World Master Championship, where he proudly represented the team.

Now enjoying retirement, you'll often find him exploring Europe on his motorcycle or relaxing with a cold beer while watching the UFC.

His toughness has become part of club folklore. During one of our in-house tournaments, Teegs suffered a significant head laceration that required 15 stitches. After being patched up on the spot, he returned to the mats and continued competing—a testament to the grit and resilience that have earned him legendary status within the academy.

The White Tiger reminds everyone around him that age is no barrier to learning, competing, and inspiring others.
